DSD Receiving
The optional Inventory Control / Receiving module is the heart of the SCANPlus inventory control system. In conjunction with the In-Store Price Book, the receiving module allows for inventory control and direct cost and retail price management.

The optional SCANPlus Inventory Control / DSD Receiving Module is the heart of the SCANPlus inventory control system. In conjunction with the In-Store Price Book, the Receiving modules allows for inventory control and direct cost and retail price management.

The receiving module provides Direct Store Delivery, (DSD), functionality to the SCANPlus application. When an item is sold at POS, the on-hand inventory count is decremented. Using a hand-held terminal or via direct keyboard entry, items received are posted to the inventory on-hand counts. In addition to the inventory control system, the receiving module also incorporates a means of maintaining vendor cost controls (DSD), by simply comparing the cost of the item in the Store Price Book to the vendors invoiced cost.

Other features of the DSD Receiving Module are:

• The ability to perform both an inventory audit and shelf price verification.
• Inventory counts and shelf prices are compared to the master inventory and price files.
• Exception reporting provides a means of quickly comparing on hand inventory counts against the physical count as well as Price Book retails against the shelf price.
• Edit/Post Receivers brings you to the Receiving Forms By # screen
• Fill/Auto-fill in the vendor information on the top of the Receiving Form.
• Receive By selection allows you to view the item file by item #, description, or vendor reorder # when receiving.
• Receive items by case or each.
• Add an item to the receiver and/or randomly access the item you wish to receive.
• User friendly Portable Data Terminal Operations:
  • Erase ALL data that has been entered in PDT.
  • Allows date and time setting in PDT for use in the PDT SCANPlus Receiving module.
  • Displays the current version (inventory and pricing) on the PDT.
  • Allows for automatic (scanned) or manual entry of items.
  • Allows for both review and correction of any data entered.
  • Allows the connection of the PDT to the computer via the cable that plugs into the PDT scanner port.
  • Allows modification of all 5 price levels including the description and quantity of all pricing levels.
  • Allows modification, addition, deletion of mix/match and price group pricing, quick sale items, and retail or date sensitive sales.
  • Allows addition o new items into inventory
  • Allows verification and modification of prices of existing inventory items in four modes: Regular Retail Price Mode, Price Group Mode, TPR Price Mode, and Sale Price Mode.
  • Price Verification Change Log Report and Update.
All optional modules are completely integrated at the Point-of-Sale and include the full Back Office, management and reporting capabilities.
